This is cut in a brushed suede-look fabric with a soft matte surface and a slight give from the stretch in the weave. It has the depth and warmth of suede in photographs and in person, without the price or the dry-cleaning bill.
Details are where it earns its keep: two flap chest pockets, side-seam welt pockets, a ribbed hem and ribbed cuffs that pull the shape in at the waist and wrist. That rib is the reason it looks tailored rather than boxy — it stops the jacket hanging square and gives you a clean line from shoulder to hip.
