Sévigné Ribbed Knit Cardigan

The problem with most winter layers is that you take your coat off and you're back to a t-shirt. This one is the layer you keep on.

Knitted in 100% wool at 720g in a deep fisherman-style rib — chunky enough to hold structure across the chest and shoulders, with a raglan-set sleeve that moves without pulling. The stand collar sits high enough to close at the throat and stays upright rather than flopping. Full-length zip, ribbed cuffs and hem.

Wool is doing real work here. It insulates without trapping damp, breathes when you go from cold street to warm room, and holds colour through repeated wear. It also softens as it's worn in, which is why a good wool cardigan gets better across a season rather than pilling out.

Camel over cream, stone or espresso trousers is the warm-toned combination that runs through the range — it's the piece that finishes the Sand Blanc Loafers look in winter. Cream over espresso or chocolate is the tonal version. Onyx over stone or camel is the sharp one: dark over light, face stays the brightest point.

Zip it fully closed and it works as a light outer layer in October. Open over a tee and it's the thing you wear all winter indoors. Under the Rochefort or the Fontaine it becomes a proper cold-weather system.
